Service Overview
Whether you're an experienced driver or you've just finished your driver's education class, Cowlitz Driving School believes that there's always room for improvement when it comes to driving. We are a DOL approved written knowledge test facility and a behind-the-wheel skill test facility based in Cowlitz County, Washington.
Our experienced driving instructors provide a friendly and comfortable atmosphere so you won't feel pressured inside the classroom and behind the wheel. We are dedicated to helping you learn how to drive responsibly and safely in every day and high-pressure situations.

DOL Approved Written KNOWLEDGE TESTING:
Monday to Friday: 12pm (Noon) to 1pm (Walk-in at 12pm)
Saturday: : 12pm (Noon) to 1pm (Walk-in at 12pm)
* Testing lasts for 1 hour - Be here at 12pm! *
DOL Approved BEHIND-THE-WHEEL SKILLS TESTING:
By Appointment Only
Pricing:
Written Knowledge Test - $25 per test
Skills Test - $50 using your car or $100 using CDS car
Longview - CLASSROOM SCHEDULE
Classroom Fee - $650 ( This includes an 8.2% sales tax added as of 10/1/2025 )
(Classroom fee includes 30 hours class, 6 hours of Behind the Wheel Training, 1 DOL Knowledge Test, and 1 DOL Skills Test - using your car)
School Schedule: (Class Days Tues, Wed, and Thur)
"All classes will be "HYBRID" (Classroom or Online Classes)
Online or Classroom classes will be Tues, Wed, and Thurs at 6 pm
November 25, 2025 to January 15, 2026 Tuesday and Thursday 6-8 pm
January 27, 2026 to February 26, 2026 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6-8 pm
March 10, 2026 to April 16, 2026 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6-8 pm
April 28, 2026 to May 28, 2026 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6-8 pm
June 9, 2026 to July 9, 2026 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6-8 pm
